PlayWerks Drama Camp. Meet the Trainers!





Mornings: Since Kimberly Creasman's arrival in Singapore in 1999 she's had some part in dozens of performances or training with Sing’Theatre (as Diana in their March 2013 production of 8 WOMEN), itheatre, Focus on the Family, Tapestry Playback Theatre, yellowbox studios, raintree productions. For 5 years she led the drama ECAs at International Community School and was a theatre lecturer at TCS College.
Afternoons: Alvin Tan Beng Kiong has been working in the area of Speech and Drama for the past 6 years. He has taught in at least 40 schools. In the last few years, Alvin has written Drama Curriculum for both schools, as well as Enrichment Companies. Alvin also teaches Creative Writing, Poetry Appreciation, and teaching Literature through Drama to local Government-Aided schools, Primary and Secondary as well as IB Institutions and International Schools.Known for his energetic teaching style, Alvin's forte lies in the 7-8 years old age group. Alvin has also taught children with Special Needs especially children who fall under the ASD Spectrum. He is trained in ABA (Applied Behavioral Analysis) which is a therapy that helps to shape the behavior of these children through one-to-one early intervention. With this unique experience, Alvin is able to blend behavioral science into a drama class setting. Alvin now serves as a Committee Member with SDEA (Singapore Drama Educators Association) a non-profit body advocating Drama Education.
